VDP Views Sell Cars.
At the 2019 NADA show, Facebook stated that it takes approximately 40 VDP (Vehicle Description Page) views to sell one vehicle. Not only did they have data to prove it, but the number can also be easily tracked by setting up the proper goals within Google Analytics. Finally, a metric that allows you to properly track digital marketing.
If successful digital marketing campaigns drive traffic directly to your VDP pages, then the more VDP views from quality traffic lead to more sales! It seems pretty simple. And if it’s true, why doesn’t everyone do it?
First, it is true. Second, Digital Downforce is one of a select, few digital marketing agencies with the tools and proprietary systems in place to successfully execute a campaign like the one I’m about to explain.
We start by establishing your baseline for VDP views/sales. With that knowledge, we’ll calculate how many VDP views you need to increase your sales. That number is then applied to our Dynamic VDP campaigns that we run on Facebook.
Not all Facebook Campaigns are the same.
Any agency can drive traffic to your website from Facebook, but delivering your digital ads to the right audience at the right time is the key to conversion and sales. Unfortunately, most digital agencies are using 60-day old data when they launch a Facebook campaign. Which means they are reaching in-market auto shoppers who were actively shopping for a vehicle 60-days ago. For example, if today’s date is July 15th, that means their ads are being served to people who were last seen searching for a vehicle on May 15th. The probability that those ads are being seen by people who are still searching for a vehicle is unlikely.
Why our Dynamic VDP Ads are more effective.
Our proprietary technology allows us to serve ads to people searching for vehicles as RECENT as yesterday, but no later than 14 days ago! (for perspective, Polk data is 60 days old by the time you receive it) This enables us to deliver ads on Facebook and Instagram to consumers who are actively searching for a car.
Our data is a game-changer – With the most accurate, up-to-date research in the automotive industry, we’re able to drive more buyers to our dealers’ VDP pages, leading to more sales and a better ROI.
This all sounds great, but does it really work?
Most dealerships see a lift in sales within two weeks of starting Dynamic VDP Ads with us. Our reporting is transparent and easy to understand. We show you Impressions, Clicks, Click-Through-Rate, etc., but most importantly we show you VDP views and Clicks by Vin. This allows you to see the customer interaction and interest in a specific vehicle, new or pre-owned.
I want this, but is it expensive?
Dynamic VDP Ads are effective and affordable! In fact, many dealers have replaced their 3rd party lead providers with Dynamic VDP Ads for three reasons:
One, they cost less. In some cases, as little as one-third the cost of what the dealership was spending on 3rd party vendors!
Two, consumers are spending more time on social media than ever before and are more likely to respond to your ad in that environment than to an ad they see while searching on Google.
Three, Dynamic VDP Ads keep the customer on your website viewing your inventory, rather than competing with other dealership ads on a 3rd party vendor’s site.
Maybe it’s time to try something new?
You can run a test campaign for 30 days to see how it works. Kick the tires, look at the results, then decide if it’s right for your dealership. Set up is super easy. We can get a campaign started in as little as 2 days. You’ll start seeing results in as little as 2 weeks, but the campaign needs to run for 30 days to really measure the ROI. Most campaigns cost as little as $12 to $15 per vehicle. It’s that simple.
